Planning for a 2027 Calendar Tea Towel

For the past two years I’ve designed a Calendar Tea Towel. For 2025 the theme was a ‘Nature Spotter’s Calendar’ and for 2026 I produced ‘A Year in British Birdlife’ and they’ve been very popular, so I’m doing it again!

I’ve been thinking about what my 2027 Calendar could look like, but once again I need your help to decide what the theme should be! I’ve narrowed my ideas down to four themes and given a sense of the sorts of illustrations that might be included, as follows:

  1. A Year on the British Coast

  2. A Year in the British Woodland

  3. British Minibeasts

  4. Northumberland Rocks (wildcard — heritage, landscape and ancient geology)

A Year on the British Coast

Seaside subjects month by month from seaweeds, shells and rockpool creatures on the shore to coastal birds and cliff-top flowers.

A Year in British Woodlands

From primroses, snowdrops and bluebells through Spring to the fungi of autumn, this design will highlight British woodlands in all their variety alongside some of the creatures that call them home.

Mini Beasts & Pollinators

Celebrating the tiny but vital creatures that support ecosystems — ladybirds, lacewings, spiders, beetles, bees, caterpillars, etc.

Northumberland Rocks

From standing stones to rock art and interesting geological formations, Northumberland has some really great rocks! A tea towel full of inspiration for fascinating places to visit around the county.

If there’s a particular theme for the design that you’d like to see for a 2027 Calendar tea towel, can you please use the form below to vote for your favourite?
