Harvest Festival

β€˜We plough the fields and scatter, the good seed on the land’

I used to enjoy visiting the village church as part of the joint Harvest Festival celebrations with our Junior School as I loved seeing the displays of fruit and vegetables in all of their colourful bounty! When I first started growing my own vegetables, I developed a bit of a thing for visiting RHS gardens and allotments to see other people’s efforts and I loved visiting agricultural and horticultural shows with categories like β€˜longest bean’ and β€˜seven tomatoes arranged on a plate’ (although I’ve never entered any of my own produce!)

Instead, this autumn I thought I’d showcase some of my β€˜harvest’ inspired collections for you. All of my art prints and gifts are printed here in the UK and use sustainably-sourced materials. So if you buy from me, you’re not only supporting a British indie business, but also doing your bit for the environment, too!

Eat Your Vegetables

I've been growing my own fruit and vegetables for the almost 20 years and there's nothing I love more than combining my gardening habit with my art and illustration work!

This collection sprang from my Vegetable Alphabet artwork, which has a watercolour and pen illustration of a vegetable for (almost) every letter of the alphabet. Creating a full alphabet proved to be a little taxing, once I discovered that there are no vegetables for 3 of the 26 letters in the alphabet - but I think it is still a lovely piece!

Treat yourself to an A4 print (in pink or cream) or a tea towel to spot the missing letters.

I've also got some wooden coasters and four different square note card designs (Autumn Soups, European Veg, Roots & Onions, and Salads), as well as a brand new product for me - fridge magnets!

Pumpkin Patch

Pumpkins have become the ultimate harvest vegetable - although when I was a bairn, there was no pumpkin-carving at halloween. No, we had to develop muscles of steel in order to hollow out a swede/turnip for our lanterns!

I illustrated these ink and watercolour pumpkins back in 2023, to celebrate the wonderful variety of colours and shapes of squash and pumpkins. They’ve also got some great names, too, like Crown Prince, Polar Bear, Flat White, Zombie, Sugar Pie and even Cinderella!

This collection is perfect for adding a bit of autumnal colour to your home and includes a tea towel, a set of x4 wooden coasters and a ceramic mug.

Edible Mushrooms of the British Isles

Foraging for mushrooms in the wild is becoming an increasingly popular pastime.

This collection features detailed, hand-drawn pen illustrations of nine varieties of edible mushrooms found in the British Isles, including: Chanterelles, Chicken of the Woods, Hedgehogs, Morels, Oysters, Saffron Milkcaps, and Shaggy Inkcaps.

There is a 100% unbleached organic cotton tea towel, a fine bone china mug and a set of x4 coasters, as well as an A4 art print and A6-sized note cards.
