Planning for a 2026 Calendar Tea Towel

Last summer I designed a Nature Spotter’s 2025 Calendar tea towel and stocked it in my web shop - and it sold out within x3 weeks!

Nature Spotter’s Calendar 2025

My 2025 design featured more than 20 of my illustrations of animals, birds and plants that can be spotted throughout the seasons, from butterflies to birds, as well as flowers, berries and seeds. It was printed onto 100% organic cotton tea towel stock and each illustration was hand-drawn in ink and watercolour with a hand-written label.

The illustrations were all things that I’d spotted in nature myself over the previous 12 months.

I’d love to create another calendar tea towel for 2026, but I need your help to decide what the theme should be! I’ve narrowed my ideas down to five themes and given a sense of the sorts of illustrations that might be included, as follows:

British Garden Visitors

Focusing on the animals and insects that visit our gardens throughout the year, from hedgehogs to chiffchaffs, tadpoles to ladybirds, blossom to rosehips.

Foraging Finds

Celebrating the seasonal bounty of the countryside with edible plants and foraging highlights (nettles, hazelnuts, rowan berries, wild garlic, elderberries, sea beet)

A Year in British Birdlife

A focus on bird behaviours and habitats as the seasons shift - flocks, courting, nesting materials and nests, chicks, fledglings, migratory birds.

Woodland Wonders

Highlighting British woodlands with illustrations of their flora, fauna and fungi (lichen, owls, woodland flowers, ferns, insects, etc).

Mini Beasts & Pollinators

Celebrating the tiny but vital creatures that support ecosystems — ladybirds, lacewings, spiders, beetles, bees, caterpillars, etc.

If there’s a particular theme for the design that you’d like to see for a 2026 Calendar tea towel, can you please use the form below to vote for your favourite?
