Original artwork of a Little Owl. One of Britain's smallest owls and one that can be seen in daylight, usually perched on a branch, telegraph pole or rock. In coloured pencil on smooth hot pressed paper. Ivory mount to fit an A5-size frame
I use Derwent Procolour pencils, a wax-based coloured pencil made in the UK with very good lightfastness (meaning that the colours won't fade under museum conditions). Procolour pencils contain no animal derived materials or ingredients.
This artwork was created on Saunders Waterford Watercolour Paper, which is made in England on a traditional cylinder mould machine at St Cuthbert's Mill in Somerset. Made using 100% cotton, the highest quality papermaking material, to high archival standards.
