This hand-illustrated booklet was created for my 2026 Art in the Park event in Coronation Park, Berwick-upon-Tweed, and covers six birds with a connection to the park and the River Tweed — robin, barn owl, blue tit, goldfinch, eider duck and swan.
Across 16 pages it takes you from first pencil marks to finished artwork, with three different techniques to try:
Ink and wash — barn owl and blue tit
Mixed media (watercolour and coloured pencil) — robin and goldfinch
Charcoal — eider duck and swan
Each section opens with a step-by-step guide to building your bird from simple shapes, followed by technique instructions written for complete beginners.
