Shop with me plastic-free

With Plastic-free July upon us, I thought it might be timely to remind you that if you purchase artwork or a gift from me, you can be confident that it was made in the most environmentally-friendly way, by UK-based companies with strong environmental ethics, and that I will then send your order to you using minimal and plastic-free packaging.

Introducing my product range

I’ve written before about the thought and research that I put in before using suppliers to create my art print and gifts range - you can read more about this in my post about eco-friendly Christmas gifting (but obviously it applies to gifting at any time of year!)

A closer look at my packaging

I’m pleased to say that none of my suppliers send products to me using plastic in their packaging - it is usually cardboard that I can then reuse or recycle.

When I sell my products through bricks-and-mortar shops, or at events, my packaging is minimal:

  • Tea towels are folded and held together by a belly band strip, made from recycled paper;

  • Art prints are enclosed in a compostable clear bag, with recycled greyboard backing for reinforcement.

For mailing through the post, I wrap your order in acid-free, recycled tissue paper before putting it into either:

  • a reinforced, recyclable envelope (with an extra sticky strip that means that you can then use the envelope to send something yourself);

  • a recycled cardboard pyramid tube;

  • or a 100% recycled mailing bag (again with an extra sticky strip so that you can re-use the bag).

All of these materials are recyclable.

Finally, an order from me will include one or two of my recycled paper stickers and a couple of postcards that are printed onto recycled card stock.
